Tonight’s song “Out of Time” was originally uploaded last night but included two acoustic guitar tracks with lead melodies. This version, I muted the second lead and just left the original acoustic track I improvised first.

“It’s Over” 07-07-10

Tonight’s song “It’s Over” features the incredible Spectrasonics Omnisphere virtual synth. This was captured in one take using my Brian Moore iGuitar (MIDI).
It’s a sad song that reflects on the ending of a long journey that could be personal, relational, professional, etc. The song for me reflects an awareness or awakening of sorts to many things far to complex to articulate with words. Maybe that’s why I write music instead?

“We Let It End” 07-04-10

What a 4th of July celebration today! We had a blast filming the fireworks at Johnson’s Pond in Coventry Rhode Island. Video will be posted in a couple days!
Tonight’s song “We Let It End” is a remake/rewrite of a song from a band I had the pleasure of being in from the late 80’s to the early 90’s called Enforcer. The song was titled “Never Let It End”.
This is an improvisation that I wrote early this morning as I reflected on a reunion we had last night up in beautiful Bristol Rhode Island. It was nearly 20 years since we last saw each other. They were much more than just a band. We were a family.
This song is dedicated to everyone that helped make that period of my life, one of the best times.

“The Meaning Of Life” 06-28-10

It’s just after midnight in Rhode Island and I just finished writing a somewhat surprise song. After all, I recorded three different pieces of the soundtrack for the Quonset Air Show 2010 video ealier today and once I post a song, I typically shut things down and stop for the day. Tonight I decided to go back for another and I’m glad I did.
“The Meaning Of Life” is an ambient/ballad song that flows between a steel guitar and acoustic guitar melodic highlights.
Tonight is the first time I’ve uploaded a new “Song of the Day” within a few minutes of it being a new day.

“Do You Know Me” 06-19-10

Tonight’s new song (sample) is titled “Do You Know Me” and features some interesting sounds and textures. It’s mellow but also has a little “zing” in the sound.
I’ve been sining a song I wrote in 1993 titled “Do You Know” about my dad dying. I will probably write and upload it tomorrow but it depends on how the day goes because it’s Father’s Day and I won’t have much time to record. I would have this afternoon but I spend some time visiting with folks at a local nursing home and then had dinner with Michelle.
I hope you like this song. It has a hint of Carlos Santana with bell sounds and a hint of distortion.
